- Read the first clue and think of a category it could belong to.
- Type the shared category into the guess box. All five clues must fit the same connection.
- A wrong guess reveals another clue. You can also choose to reveal the next clue when you need more information.
- Solve with fewer clues for a stronger result. An incorrect guess after all five clues ends the round and explains the connection.
A category guessing game you can keep playing
This Pinpoint-style word association game has 32 original puzzles. Practice lets you move through the collection at your own pace. The daily challenge selects a puzzle from that collection using your local date; it rotates through the same library, rather than promising a brand-new puzzle forever.
Your unfinished rounds and results are saved in this browser when local storage is available. You can leave and return without creating an account. Saving is local to this device; clearing browser data removes it.
Pinpoint tips: find the relationship
- Ask what the clues do, where they appear, or which feature they share. A concrete category is often more useful than a broad topic.
- Before submitting, check your idea against every revealed clue. One word can fit many categories; two or three narrow the possibilities.
- If an interpretation needs a long explanation, reveal another clue and reconsider. Clues are there to help you reason.
About this Pinpoint game
This is an independent game inspired by the category-guessing format of LinkedIn Pinpoint. Our puzzles are created for this site and do not reproduce the official daily puzzle. For the official edition, visit LinkedIn Pinpoint. This version is a word puzzle, rather than a map or geography game.
Pinpoint questions
Is this Pinpoint game free?
Yes. All 32 practice puzzles and the daily selection are free to play in your browser. No download or account is required.
Can I play more than once a day?
Yes. Practice mode lets you play through the collection and replay puzzles whenever you like. The collection is finite, so you may encounter a puzzle again.
What if my answer uses different wording?
Capitalization and basic punctuation are ignored, and each puzzle accepts a set of common alternative answers. Use a short, specific category name; not every possible synonym can be recognized.
Is this today’s official LinkedIn Pinpoint?
No. The daily selection uses our own original collection. It is separate from the official LinkedIn game and its results.
